Welcome 13th Annual Country Heritage Color Tour

Welcome to the  13th Annual Country Heritage Color Tour
October 2 & 3, 2010
Saturday 10-5  Sunday 12 -5

Thank you for taking the time to make the 13th Annual  Country Heritage
Color Tour part of your Fall enjoyment. We’re proud to say our self-guided
tour has become Michigan’s most anticipated fall event, featuring art,
agriculture and antiques.

You’ll discover three ‘off the beaten path’
orchards, each one offers different produce varieties, sweets and its own
personality: Brookwood Fruit Farm, Bishop’s Townsend Farm & Hy’s Cider Mill.

At the beginning of the tour, a farm fresh bakery will enchant you
with both the smells and sights at Hill Top Farm.

You’ll find functional every day pottery-art
with Studio Potter, Paul Young. Take time
for his throwing demos.

Miller’s Medley offers an amazing display of
handcrafted items, stained glass, woodenware, garden art and much more.
While there, try your hand at cutting or foiling a piece of glass!

Catch-up with Marjeanne’s Creations at the local Country Corner with her
handcrafted herbal soaps and herbal sundries.

The Mill & Brew House offers an ever
changing array of antiques and vintage goods along with the area’s best
full espresso bar and hand-baked kitchen treats.

The Bargain Boutique has
a wide eclectic mix of collectables.

Unexpected Treasures is a new stop to this year’s Country Heritage Color Tour and is filled with a
collection of goods.

Reliteration is a local favorite used bookstore with
40,000 titles.

A mix of farm fresh florals and tea blends await you at
Teemie’s Country Blooms.

For your shopping convenience bring cash and checkbook as many of the ‘off
the beaten path’ stops do not take credit or debit. Pack your camera and a
picnic lunch to fully appreciate this lovely fall Day-Trip, or take in
lunch at one of our local eateries.  Handicap access varies due to the
rural settings, please call ahead for details.

Maps are Printed!

Pick up your ‘free’ Color Tour Map at any of the designated stops or any of  the local Almont businesses.

Also, the maps will be available at Mt. Bruce Sheep & Wool Festival this weekend at Towns End Farms booth & at Sheepy Hollow Herbs booth.

The Lamb’s Tail, Armada, MI

The Lams Tail fall barn pic

The Lamb’s Tail  Antiques has been in business for 17 years.

Voted Detroit’s 2nd best Antique Shop in Metro-Detroit

Personally it’s at the top of my list along with my other local favorite – Cabbage Rose Antiques in Almont. Both have such charm and country flair.

Please note that on the final draft of our Country Heritage Color Tour Map,  (Yes, going out today) I rushed off to the printer before giving  owner Bonnie Flemming   a chance to proof  the final draft. The Lamb’s Tail has been in business for 17 years.  Not 217!!   My Type -O.

Although the final print is beautiful  (printed by T & H Printing of Almont, MI) please keep in mind the corrections  needed for ‘The Lamb’s Tail Antiques’ years in business and the website address.

Make sure to pop in here  for inspiring fall decor, handmade wreaths, redesigned country furnishings, orginal works of art by local talents. Stroll through the gardens brimming with home & garden treasures awaiting your selections.
